The trader interface will display a new type of charts as of today. Instead of relying on third-party software that makes extensive use of Javascript, the new charts are based on the Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) standard that is now implemented in all modern web browsers. SVG has many advantages over the Javascript-based solutions. I am hopeful that the new charts are visually appealing. I also use SVG to generate public charts on the BC 2013 election web page. These charts show current predictions of the popular vote share, seats distribution, and majority government.
